December's Sunny-side
EarthSave Potluck

"Bed & Breakfast, Inn-Style"

Time: 6:00pm Friday, December 7th

Location: Market Street Inn,
330 West Market Street,
Jeffersonville, IN 47130

Gather for delicious potluck meal and conversation in the dining room of the Market Street Inn in downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana. This wonderful venue will bring out the best in us. Bring a friend who is contemplating making better food choices--our combined food along with the ambience will be memorable. A knock on the front door is all that is needed to start a great evening meal.

Why have a potluck? ... Because it teaches us to use our kitchen, and it provides an opportunity to make a new dish, and its fun because it's so unpredictable. May we be unabashed when exclaiming: The EarthSave's Plant-based Potluck in Jeffersonville, Indiana is awesome! Let's talk about old house ghosts and new home recipes. We will be livestreaming if you have something on your heart to share about the veggies, etc. http://ustream.tv/channel/earthsave-lvl

This month's potluck starts with mealtime at 6:00PM. All anyone does for a potluck is to bring a dish or a bunch of plant-based food (best if vegan; no dairy/no meat) for 6-10 servings, and Earthsave provides the dinnerware (unless you want to bring your own). The event is free and open to all.

During any lull in conversation (if that's possible) we will hear a review of things that are healthy and happening around the local region. We might even have a tweet-fest, but that's not for sure yet. Stay tuned: http://twitter.com/earthsave_LVL

If you are new, please let us know you are coming so as to orient you quickly; call 502.299.9520. Bring food of the plant-variety, e.g. vegan/vegetarian/raw. Anything-plant goes: From apples to zucchini.

These Jeffersonville potlucks are on the 1st Thursday or Friday of the month.

The big idea: help your health and the planet by migrating gradually to a plant-based diet while having a riot in the meantime, learning some "how to's", meeting new people and getting to know your fellow concerned neighbors. Our food choices and food system isn't the only thing that needs improving in the world, but it's a handy place to start.

DIRECTIONS: Use Google and/or call Nate at 502 299 9520. It is on Market Street near Mulberry in downtown Jeffersonville, just off of Exit 0 on I-65 or the 2nd Street Bridge.

Encouraging people to eat healthy is catching on--and we want us all to be part of the solution! Deciding to eat more plants is a really big step, and Earthsave is here to support the healthy intentions that we all have. The general public is welcome, absolutely. Food is a good reason for people to get together and eat. It's all about food, health, the environment, fairness, personal empowerment, psychological awareness, overarching themes in our crazy culture. Join in the conversation--we want all voices--and we all want to have a (healthy) good time!
