I. Potluck

Louisville's only Veg-Centric Monthly Potluck

Saturday, February 14th, 2009; 6 - 8 p.m.

6 p.m. POTLUCK: Bring a vegetarian, vegan or raw dish for 8-12 people, your recipe to share, and your own utensils/plates/cups. (It's all easy; and we're growing.) Note: As it is 2/14, consider bringing chocolate, wearing red, and/or muttering "Be Mine" periodically.

II.Program

7 p.m. PROGRAM: We are lucky to have a hydroelectric engineernaut, community organic gardener par-excellance, multi-decade vegetarian Gandalf-like guru speak at our potluck. David Brown Kinlock will encourage us to ask the Earth to "Be My Valentine" by concrete and challenging actions. He will be presenting his own story of visionary action as he tries to live the Nike way, "Just do it!". Bring your pen--better yet, your mp3 recorder. This should be a great one--don't miss it!"

Announcements will be given, valuable Heine Brothers gift-cards will be auctioned, and a general ruckus and melee will result from raffling useful items.

8 p.m.-11 p.m. MIX, MINGLE and MUSIC: At your leisure, listen to a Health or Food/Environment DVD, mingle and meet new friends, browse our bookstore, brew and sip herbal tea, or bring a musical instrument and favorite song to sing about plants and animals (e.g. "Homegrown Tomatoes").

LOCATION: BRINEY HALL, the stately mansion in the Highlands that shares the same parking lot as the church at 2005 Douglass Blvd. (behind the National City Bank at the corner of Bardstown Road). Follow the signs.

COST: $1 with a dish to share or $6 without a dish to share to help defray costs.
