Savory Berries with a kick!

Dr. Harini Aiyer has finished her U of L PhD studies and is enroute to a post-doc in Washington DC. Her research into the anti-cancer properties of berries will be inspiring and captivating. Berries have been cultivated in the Americas for centuries, considered folk medicine by the Native Americans. They continue to play an important role in the American culinary repertoire. She will be talking a bit about how various locally available berries can alter physiological processes and provide health benefits that will help you enjoy a long and productive life. Imagine fighting cancer with your fork: " 'Take that, you scoundrel!', says Dread Pirate Roberts"
Announcements will be given (pertaining to healthy food and behavior change), and a general ruckus and melee will result from raffling with a high-win ratio. Why not come? Why not invite friends?
