MAY'S HAIKU:
Live Leaves: Life-Lever
Good for body, soul and dirt
With Donna's Wits We Win!!

Spring is the time to get serious about your greens by taking advantage of the abundance of leafy veggies everywhere. Donna Broughton is a certified raw foods chef and she has boatloads of enthusiasm and insight into the how's and why's of good (and lots local) eating. Her hands-on approach/demonstration/participation makes her a doer, show-er, and a teacher. Yes! Choosing plant-based foods keep the taste sensations high while keeping nutrition stellar. GREENS are now in the Farmers Market (and backyard gardens), so we might as well get inspired to try new things/twists. Healthy body; happy tongue; living planet. See, learn, taste, BELIEVE. Ask tough questions; get great answers--let's go!

Come and hear all about it--and see it, and try it. Donna will be giving a demonstration of some of her yummy yet surprisingly inexpensive food preparation methods and recipes for anyone who wants to come. The space has a huge kitchen at the United Crescent Hill Ministries facility. Here's the thinking: If we spice plant-based foods in such a way that people love the taste...then we can put another nail in the coffin of "dead meat, inc." We only alott 90 minutes to learn: What a challenge--Let's do it! Come and hear all about it--and see it, and try it. We mean you! Come at 4:00pm on Saturday, May 14th to the United Crescent Hill Ministry kitchen (150 State Street, LVL) to see this month's chef explaining, demonstrating, answering questions, and engaging all participants about these matters. Change starts from "cooking" it up in the kitchen indeed! Beginners and experts both welcome.

"HEALTHY BEGINNINGS" IS OUR PASSION !

GOAL: Healthy Cooking Demo/Recipe Ideas and Tricks, including those not found easily on YouTube or EarthSaveTV. You are welcome if you are interested in wholly plant-based cooking advice and demonstrations in a kind and nurturing atmosphere: Come away with recipes, know-how, having had a good time, and a sampling of good food. Afterward, stay for the potluck and, if you like, share your lessons and insights with others who missed it!

Contact Nate to sign up-- or for further information--but you can also just show up: louisville@earthsave.org or 502-299-9520

===================

EarthSave leans toward the thinking that helping to save the earth is only a bite away. Each bite turns into a meal, so helping the earth becomes a meal away. Each meal comes from a recipe, so helping the earth is thus a recipe away. Each recipe is taught and/or tried, so helping the earth is one class away. This is why we want you to come to EarthSave's cooking class! Through this class, you can start bringing habits of health to your body while moving the planet towards the same…one bite/meal/recipe/class at a time! If you can RSVP, then do so (502 299 9520 or louisville@earthsave.org; not strictly required). New menu and ideas every 2nd Saturday. Come often...and stay for the potluck that follows at 6pm.

This event is not only valuable, it’s free; a freewill basket for the chef will be passed.

Absolutely everyone is welcome: Spread the word!
